Walking and Talking

Liam stood up by himself for the first time on Tuesday, so I think he could be considered to have reached the 'walking' stage. He's actually been walking quite well with the aid of his block trolley (the same one I used when I was a baby!) for almost two months now, so it's not exactly an overnight development, but he does now seem to be quite keen to get up on to his feet and walk around. He got steadily better at it over the last week - 4 steps on Saturday, 17 steps on Sunday and the length of our hallway on Tuesday. He looks adorable staggering around the house, and he's always extremely pleased with himself, often giving himself a round of applause after his latest journey.

Liam can also say a few words now. He regularly says 'Daddy', but not with 100% consistency. He tries to say 'kitty' when he sees Koshka, but it generally comes out as 'Ti'. He also says 'ba' when it's bath time (possibly his favourite time of the day). Not exactly the Queen's English, but he's on his way!
